This major Shopping Centre, situated in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, comprises of over 50 retail outlets positioned both internally (off the main indoor mall areas) and externally fronting the High Street, many of which are multiple household names including banks, supermarket and food halls.

The contract with Ridge Crest Cleaning Services has been renewed annually since 2002 and provides for daily cleaning of all shopping malls, external public walkways, public conveniences (including sanitary services), management suite, service roads and multi storey car park. Waste segregation and recycling form part of the contract.

A shift pattern is operated with cleaning taking place from 6.00am to 7.00pm daily, 7 days a week throughout the year. Main scrubbing of the shopping malls is carried out between 6.00am -8.00am with additional staff on site throughout the day providing a pick up service to the malls and external walkways and regular cleaning of the toilets whilst the shopping centre is operational.

Ridge Crest Cleaning Services provide a full cleaning service to all Hertfordshire Police Stations, Custody Suites and the Headquarters Building in Welwyn Garden City, numbering some 40 sites.Approximately 170 staff are employed to service this contract.  Various shift patterns are employed during morning, afternoon, evening and weekends as most sites operate on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis.

Each site has its own supervisor under the direction of a dedicated Area Supervisor and a dedicated Contract Manager. Two full time Mobile cleaners are employed to provide additional cover for sickness, annual leave and emergency work. The contract provides for daily and periodic cleaning of offices, public areas, circulation areas, workshops, laboratories, restaurants and specialised cleaning of custody suites. All locations are cleaned 365 days per annum.
